Ellen and Karen BOTH had flight issues and did not arrive as anticipated. :tears:

Sonny, Kelly and I all arrived safely and met up with George and Scot and have officially STARTED THE PARTY!! :wakawaka:

(ok ok so I'm still working but who says you can't have a good time working and where would YOU rather work...paradise or home?) :teeth:

For those arriving tomorrow...I'll be at the dive shop early making sure everything is ready for our trip. Since most don't arrive in Cozy until 11:30 or later by then I'll be in the lobby working...er...WAITING for you...yes there is free wifi in the lobby! ;)

If for some reason you don't see me there check the restaurant as I won't venture off very far, so I can help you with check in! :cool1:

I wish I could have gone on this trip. but I close on the new house tomorrow and have only been at my new job two months. I love the Cozumel Halloween trip. have a Margarita for me!! (they make their own) YUM! Have a blast and post lots of pictures for those who could not make it.

Able to take just a few minutes to get my "junkie" fix of singledivers.com after returning back safely from the trip. It was REALLY, REALLY a lot of fun. Will post my (hopefully non blurry) underwater photos within the next few days. I look forward to seeing the photos of my ridiculous costume. I so enjoyed meeting everyone, diving and partying too. ...will post again soon.

BTW, Ray....I got about 6 compliments from TSA/customs staff about the Mexican Sombrero. Each time I said "thank you!" followed with "Can you tell I just got back from Hawaii?" :lmao: My son loved it, and it was worn all night. Thanks again. (For those not on the trip, you will see the sombrero when the photos are posted. It went extremely well with Ray's costume, but is a classic "TOURIST" hat when you walk through the airport in it!...fun, fun, fun!)

It was a great trip. I did 8 great dives, including a couple that would rank up there as the best out of my almost 200 dives in my life. One dive was full of rays. Another having everything from a ray, to an eel to turtles all out in the open and lots of little stuff too.

Plus as a bonus we got to watch baby turtles taking their first steps into the water. Three nests with over 1000 turtles heading to the water, none any bigger than the palm of your hand. A unique experience to be sure.

The costume party was fun, with all but a couple of participants winning some type of prize, ranging from Scuba Cowboy cds, to bottles of tequilla, to all inclusive trips back to Casa Del Mar and Del Mar Aquatics.

Very cool! Isn't it unusual for them to hatch during daytime? I'm glad you guys were there to keep the pesky birds away!

It was sunset and I'm not sure how our switching from Daylight Savings to Standard Time on Saturday night may have effected that. Apparently the hatching starts hours beforehand underground and by the time they were assisting with the dig out, they were way on their way. What they do is assist with the process by digging out the hole and raking the beach so they have an easier path to the water. I was actually surprised that there were few pesky birds around.

Thanks George. Perfect. It's hard to describe, the footprint gives an idea of the scope.

I was too! I didn't see a single sea gull, and was so pleased about that! I know the odds of the turtles not making it are so high, but I didn't want to see them get killed before they even make it to the water. It was an amazing experience, and one I will never forget. :cloud9:
