Hi,

My dive buddies in the past have always been my dad and brothers. We tried to go on a trip every other year but with my brothers marrying and spawning getting a trip planned with all of us doesn't happen. It has been 5 years since the last one in Curacao.

Stumbled on this site looking for fun trips for singleton people. I'm thinking that going on one of the trips next year would be fun and get me back into diving. Any advice about getting back into diving after the long hiatus?

Also, one of my hobbies is sailing hence the username.

Hello from Galapagos! You have found the right place and more will chime in as they are online. Our forums are not as active with the invention of facebook but our trips are great!

Hit a pool when you can to ensure your gear is fine. You may want to do a refresher if its been a long time since you were certified. You can also do our Rent A Buddy program where we help you on  a trip to dial your diving back in or in the first time.

Some of our trips are better for new divers so let me know when you want to go and I'll tell you the trips in that timeframe that are best suited for a new diver.

In general Bonaire, Cayman Brac and Roatan next year will be the best choices for a new diver!

And splash around the forums...they are a great source of information and 'dry diving fun'!!! We aren't as big as other online forums but we ARE nicer!  :)

Welcome aboard Eric. We are sure you will find a trip that suits your interests and abilities. IMO Roatan and Bonaire are two great choices for a refresher and skill honing, as Kamala has already pointed out. Hope to say hello in person on an upcoming trip.
