I'm planning to be there, unless something unexpected comes up.

Do we need to bring anything special like lift bags, collection bags, etc?

If we find any treasure, who gets it? :banghead:

Collection bags would be good. I don't think you will need a lift bag but it couldn't hurt. Any flags and floats always are good. If you find somethng good its yours as long as its legal. It'll mostly be trash anyway.

One year someone thought they found a cannon ball but it turned out to be a bowling ball. I found a knife and my buddy found a plastic bag of human ashes. The police took both and hoped they didn't go together!

They provide plastic bags but they are hard to use underwater and harder to lift out of the water, better to bring a mesh bag and gloves.

The best part of that clean up is we get to explore in front of the fishing area where we usually can't go :diver:

As I live near Atlanta Georgia, I will have to decline the knid invitation.

I have, however participated in many of these events.

Here are a few free ideas for you and your crew. Remember, You get what you pay for!!!

Go to Kmart and get a $2.00 meash laundry bag for collecting what you find, throw it away with it's contents, (They can be quite big, use a zip tie and a pair of scissors to remedy this situation)

Bring a lift bag IF you are trained in it's proper use and plan on getting 'intense' I have recovered MANY tires that most divers swam over.

Be careful of the environment. Quite a bit of trash has been there longer than we have been diving and has become a home to the local inhabitants. Check with your coordinator about what to do if you find little critters living in the trash.

Safety first, use a 'Jon line' to keep track of your buddy. It is dark down there and diving solo to clean up the area is just not worth it!!!

Have Fun, wish I could join you.
