Right now AOL seems to be the biggest concern as it is one of the largest ISP's. They are sending us alerts says user (insert name here) is not accepting email from us, even though they say they have added us to their white list. However, we have seen issues with several others as well. Excite, Rogers and Hotmail are the biggest challenges. We have never had a single complaint about users on Gmail though, so if you are currently searching for a web based email that would be my recommendation.
There are a couple of things you can do if you find you are missing email:
First, add singledivers.com to your email filters to allow our mail through. If you find that this is not working then complaining directly to your ISP is the best thing. We can do it, but they typically ignore us behind a wall of auto-emails. As one of their customers you are paying them for a service you are not getting so you will have much better luck in getting attention.
Second, you can go through your email settings and reduce the amount of email we send you by turning off any forum or subscription posts you don't absolutely need. Singledivers.com will never send you email that you do not want. Indeed, you have to turn on email notifications before you get any board based email. If we ever do send you something you don't want, you can go into your board settings and turn that off instantly. We want to provide you with the best service and information possible and the last thing we want is to send you something you don't want. As a computer professional
I get about 800 SPAM emails a day so believe me, I know the issue very well.
Last, we are here to help if you have any questions or issues with your technical problems. It is a free service provided to all regardless of membership level. We want your experience here to be like making a phone call where the technology is transparent and easy to use.

It is obvious that restrictions will only get worse over time and this is not just an SD problem. What you learn here can be applied to any other board you are a member of. So it is certainly worth your time to educate yourself in the process.
