Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and am hoping to meet other nice single divers who are looking for buddies. I dive 2-3 times per week in north Florida, but I am always looking to travel to new dive locations. So far this year, I have gone diving in Kona, Maui, San Salvador, the Bahamas, and locally in rivers, a quarry, the Gulf, and several local springs. Some of my favorite far away dives include Roatan, Belize, and the Keys.

One of my favorite things to do when I'm not diving is to swim with the dolphins in the Gulf. :)

Walter, you thought wrong.

To all the other nice folks, thanks for the friendly welcomes. I look forward to checking out other parts of the forum. I need to get my gear ready in the meantime for a night dive nearby. Have fun and happy diving! :welcome:

Hi and glad to see ya! I just joined the board and it looks fun.

I have read through a lot of the forums and folks seem really friendly and I haven't seen much "ego-splashing" going on so far so I'm enjoying it even more!

Where do you usually dive out of when you're home? I live in Tampa so most of my trips are out to the Middlegrounds. Beautiful diving but it is about 80 miles out from here so the trips are long and costly. Well worth it, though, there are pinnacles that rise 80+ feet from the floor and we have several fresh water springs in the Gulf that start in recreational diving range and go down hundreds of feet. When I lived in Pensacola I never dove in Florida waters...I always ended up going to LA to do some spearfishing on the oil rigs but I'm sure there are some great places to go!

Oh, how about scallop season! Ever go to Steinahatchee?
A gal at a bar recently told me I was acting weird...I told her,
" I bet you would act even more weird than me if you were 5 atmospheres higher than you prefer."
She didn't get it.
Her loss.
