Great time for all today. The rain stopped before the morning boat went out. The breeze was just enough to keep the insects from flying. We will have pictures tomorrow and a full report from the masses. The bon fire is still burning and the tents are scattered around the orchard. The fire works were the final touch for the children. The adults enjoyed a few more beverages and watched the fire glow. Friends and plans were made. The next dive of the month will have a little more planning and the plot is in the works. If you missed it, you missed it.

Truly the most awesome event I've been to in a long time and THE BEST dive event EVER!! The weather couldnt have been better if we ordered it. The new deck made the event, and the lighting added with flamigo gardians finished with rocking reggae tunes made for a great background. Comradery among divers was joyfull! Fireworks made for a beautiful finally as children watched on with delight. I wont forget this one! The only thing that could have made this any more perfect would be more divers...........next month is gonna be sweet and I hope we can at least double the attendance.

Thanks to everyone who had a hand in putting this great event together! The food, socializing, bonfire and the new deck all helped to make this a memorable event. It was a lot of fun watching the kids roasting the marshmallows.



Bill, I really appreciate your taking the time to fill my tank (okay, okay, I WILL put my name on it!) while the party was going on.



I look forward to doing it again soon.

The weather was perfect all day once the rain lifted about 9 in the morning. Two trips out on the lake for the divers. The bonfire was just the touch needed for the backdrop to the new hangout and cookout. We had five little girls roasting marshmallows for anyone willing to eat them. The fireworks that NC43 brought were the finale for the kids that crashed soon after, in the tents scattered about the orchard. The adults enjoyed a light breeze and a final beverage before joining the kids. in the tents. There is now a plot for the next event and the plans are in the works. A new dive site might just come from our next gathering. If you are curious you will have to attend the next Dive Of The Month.

Did Bill tell ya'll it would be a big bonfire....big was an understatement, it was still burning when I left OTW at 8:30 sun night ! Bills got some realy devious plans for the next SCDM....but he needs our help to pull it off...if your curious,you will have to attend the next Dive of the Month! Talk about snail mail....this second pic just got here--from my phone to yahoo,and they were sent at the same time!

WOW!!! It sounds like this was a great success! And you are already planning the next one which is VERY COOL!!!

That fire looked HUGE!!! I can't believe how much fun it looked like you had! I'm looking forward to doing one myself one day...hopefully soon! -ww

I wanted to thank Bill aka OTWDiver and Greg aka NCDiver43 for all the hard work they did to help plan, coordinate and conduct this event! A big thanks goes out to Dad (2.5) and other new members who also helped to recruit for the event, cook, etc!

OTWDiver was kind enough to put flyers out about the event and invited everyone that came to his diveshop to join them!

the rain gave way to a GREAT day of diving.. the burgers were very tasty.. I had to leave before the bon-fire, but i know how big the pile was..lol
yes, the next DOM should be very cool :-)
