I see them ocassionally up here but Tubesnouts (similar looking) are much more common.

I did take a picture of a Bay Pipefish once and I like to call it "Where's Waldoo" :thankyou:

Nice pictures drbill and gcbryan. These critters are extremely interesting, but hard to see. The attached picture is a little out of focus because I could not see the ornate ghost pipefish when the picture was taken. The dive guide was excitedly pointing at this hunk of sea vegetation, and I snapped a picture because I did not want to hurt his feelings. I had no idea what he was pointing at until I looked at the picture up on deck.
