Greetings fellow divers. I just returned from the Bahamas and will be going to Ireland in November. I thought that I would try some cold water diving Can anyone recommend some dive sites and shops. I will be in the Killarney area. Does anyone know the water temp and conditions around the beginning of November? Do I need a drysuit or will 9mm keep me from freezing my #@*#. Appreciate any suggestions.

I too just returned from the Bahamas. Met two really great Irish guys who are terrific divers. They sent me an email saying they did a dive back home in Ireland the day they got home and the water temp was 15C which I believe translates to about 36F. Now that is what I call cold water diving.

Well, 15C isn't too cold!!! I dove in Maine a few time both in drysuit and 9mm and the temp was around 8-10C and I didn't freeze so 15C in comparison would feel balmy!Greetings fellow divers.
