The answer depends really on a fair number of things, but it comes down to was this a enlarged image or a crop from a larger image?

Hi Dan,
It was cropped from a larger image. I tried many different things but just couldn't get it clear. Is it even possible?

The reason the image looks soft is that the number of pixels in the image is small and in small images detail is hard to preserve especially in jpegs that have been compressed alot. Then this image was taken probably at a higher sensitivity setting on the camera so that resoultion of the image is somewhat lower.

I think 07 will be a year FULL of photo ops! The picture I posted is one of two pictures that I own! These were taken before surgery. My hair is now shoulder length. I would like to post some great scuba photos! I am working on choosing a camera to buy. Dan was helpful in guiding me in the right direction.

one big tip for any underwater cameras is to insure it and not on a policy attached to a homeowners but a personal articles policy. if you want details let me know.

I have a write up i did on a external drive as a comparision of insurances, that i will dig up and post when i find it, but heres a quick version

I have all of my camera gear(land, UW, and other (its a 3 page document)) insured through State farm under a personal articles policy that is seperate from any other policys, so if i have a claim it doesnt affect the other rates, which can become a issue if you have to many under a homeowners, ie cancel and no renewal. The policy has no deductable and covers the item from everything from theft, damage, and drowning. The only thing it doesnt cover is damage from a nuclear blast.

So far so good as i have only had one claim and from the day i filed it to it was paid was 10 days no questions asked all they needed was a letter stating what was wrong with the item (flooded a nikonos V body) and what it would cost to fix. Then after that a check was cut i had the camera back in 5 days, so a little over two weeks from start to finish.

the policy for me is only 1.25% of the cost of the value of the items on the policy. The values i put on the policy are the costs i paid for the item or what it would cost me on the spot to replace it where ever i might be.

Does that make sense?
