Like Netmage, I can speak from some of my personal experience.
My primary wing is a DR Classic wing that I have had since I started diving double tanks. At times, I have to use a little "creative body positioning" to get the bubble out of the wing. I know that it stands up to a ton of abuse and works great. It also provides enough lift for me to dive double E8-130's with two deco bottles.
It traps too much air to dive single tanks. So, my other wing is a DR Venture wing. That wing traps virtually no air and provides just enough lift to dive single tanks.
Keep in mind that I am counting on my drysuit as a back-up BC. As a result, any damaged wing would not be the end of the world.
I do agree that in an emergency, I make the classic wing work by trapping an air bubble more readily than I could the other. But, the day that I can't swim up one tank wouldn't be a happy day for me either.

A person should be judged in this life not by the mistakes that they make nor by the number of them. Rather they are to be judged by their recovery from them.

When I researched my halcyon I was happy that it is a donut to not trap air.
it dives great
Halcyon makes a donut for doubles now and I am planning on looking at it soon

Jeff, I've used both Halcyon's donut wings. They are, without doubt, the best balanced wings I have ever used.
I will disclaim this. I do NOT wear a weightbelt so that does make a difference. Those who do, might well prefer a different shape of wing.

my pioneer is halcyon integrated
I'm thinking of trying the dui weight harness, the doubles wing will be for my 72's and 80's fresh and salt.

Side note/off-topic: if you are diving doubles, instead of putting a weight harness with weight under your backplate harness why not look into a v-weight? You may find advatanges in less gear bulk and more streamlined distribution of weight. v-weights are sold in many of our local dive shops. One of the more common "weight makers" is actually out of Klamath Falls. If none of the shops are near you carry them or are familiar with them for educated comments (most shops will degrade what they don't know, don't carry, or don't personally dive - that's a lot of don'ts, so I say "don't" take that ), I recommend stopping by Hoodsport n' Dive and talk with Ron.I'm thinking of trying the dui weight harness, the doubles wing will be for my 72's and 80's fresh and salt.
