In the earlier days, we used to create individual posts for birthdays. As the site has grown, Scubapunk was the first to suggest we at least consolidate them somewhat (server space was also a factor) as I have done with todays list. Your suggestion is a good one, but would it eliminate that personal touch we are trying to create here?

The only reason the ratio of birthday posts to diving posts are unbalanced is because there is not enough members posting in the Diving, Trip and General chit-chat area's. A few weeks ago birthday posts where 5 to 1 over regular posts. I like the Idea of highlighting a Diver/Friend/Buddy or someone that has been a contributor to the board on the day of there selected Birthday even if the date they select is bogus ...in closing I would suggest that members new or old..priemer or not just post stupid stuff about diving...I do it all the time and it works for me
