It's not the best place I ever dived, but I enjoyed it. I saw the bus, the rock crusher and one place I didn't see was where we found black water. I took out my light, turned it on and couldn't see it. It was confined to a small area near the cliff where a tractor rolled in. We could taste the fuel, not good. They asked us to look for the tractor, but we decided since we weren't getting paid, the area had black water and we didn't like the taste of diesel, we'd stop looking.
No single raindrop believes it is responsible for the flood.

The grave yard can be fun to show someone that doesnt know it is there. But when they see Elvis' s grave....the jig is up.

That can't be Elvis's grave - I just saw him the other day as he was leaving the building... :wakawaka:

That's how I learned 'bout land sharks....never knew they existed until then!  :o

Kamala, I figure you would have known about them. After all, I think Jimmy Buffett did write and sing this song about them! :lmao:

She came down from Cincinnati
It took her three days on the train
Lookin' for some peace and quiet
Hoped to see the sun again

But now she lives down by the ocean
She's takin' care to look for sharks
They hang out in the local bars
And they feed right after dark

Can't you feel 'em circlin', honey
Can't you feel 'em schoolin' around
You got fins to the left, fins to the right
And you're the only bait in town
You got fins to the left, fins to the right
And you're the only girl in town

She's saving up all of her money
Wants to head it south in May
Maybe roll in the sand with a rock 'n' roll man
Somewhere down Montserrat way

But the money's good in the season
Helps to lighten up her load
Boys keep her high as the months go by
She's getting postcards from the road

Can't you feel 'em circlin', honey
Can't you feel 'em schoolin' around
You got fins to the left, fins to the right
And you're the only bait in town
You got fins to the left, fins to the right
And you're the only girl in town

Sailed off to Antigua
It took her three days on a boat
Lookin' for some peace and quiet
Maybe keep her dreams afloat

But now she feels like a remora
'Cause the school's still close at hand
Just behind the reef are the big white teeth
Of the sharks that can swim on the land

Can't you feel 'em circlin', honey
Can't you feel 'em schoolin' around
You got fins to the left, fins to the right
And you're the only bait in town
You got fins to the left, fins to the right
And you're the only girl in town

My home is 10 minutes from Fantasy Lake. Vis in the summer is not great, however, when your gills start drying out it helps to have a place close by to make bubbles. Right now it is cold but the vis is awesome. You can see the school bus from the surface, and all away across the rock crusher and from the top to the bottom. Problem is......water is 45 degrees and a drysuit is a must. This is where we hold the annual polar bear dive on New Years Day. Dave of Capital Scuba (dive shop owner at Fantasy) is a hoot, and is usually around to do a fill or help you make a purchase. While it is not warm water off the coast in July when it's 100 foot of water, ten minutes from your home, and a 40+ foot walk from your car to the beach, who's going to complain. Vis is usually very good there into May before the alge starts to bloom. If you are in the area, give me a call. I do need 15 minutes warning as I have to pack the car. :banghead:
