Have you thought about getting involved in the planning side of your passion? Have you wanted to help organize a Happy Hour, local diving event or even help SD run one of its group trips one day? Well let us know your desire, interests and skills. We are looking for more volunteers to help organize and run our Happy Hours, local dive events, and yes ultimately dive trips.
Qualifications:
1. Be excited about meeting other single and married but buddyless divers.
2. Be willing to talk to people and let others know about events/activities/trips that we plan and run.
3. Be willing to help set up and organize local Happy Hours, events, help at tradeshows, etc.
4. Be open to suggestions but able to offer them as well.
5. Be unafraid of trying new things or making mistakes.
6. Be certified or in the process of being certified as a diver. (Please note that to help with a Happy Hour or even a dive event you merely have to be a member in good standing, and have the right attitude and desire. You do not need to be certified yet but should be in the process of getting certified to dive.)
7. If ultimately wanting to run an SD trip...you will need to be an insured DM or instructor. If you are on a path to professional certification talk to us about possbile internships.
Please post in this thread if you are interested in being a Happy Hour Planner or Event Planner. Specify if you want to be a co-planner only or willing to be either a solo or co-planner for your area. Tell us your area that you'd be willing to help organize events in!
If you want to be a trip leader or work your way up to being a trip leader please send us a short overview of your diving background along with your desire to become involved and why. Send that to kamala@singledivers.com and fingrabber@singledivers.com for our personal reveiw.
