Ok...here's an interesting piece of trivia that I've heard a couple of times...see if anyone else has....the topic is 'pop culture'

What song indirectly mentions Krispy Kreme doughnuts?

Have fun...I've googled it and it didn't come up....

Good Luck!

There are four.

ARTIST ~~~~~ SONG
Terri Clark ~~~~~ I Wanna Do It All
Beastie Boys ~~~~~ Three MC's And One DJ
Tracy Bonham ~~~~~ Jumping Bean
Meade Skelton ~~~~~ They Called Me Porker

How about three songs with the phrase " scuba diver" ???

Wow ... you guys are scary on that trivia thing!

Can anyone name a song about skydiving?
"Because I accept the definition, does not mean I accept the defined." -- ScubaHawk
"Love is blind but lust likes lacy panties" -- SanDiegoCarol
"If you're gonna be dumb, you'd better be tough." -- Phillip Manor
"If I know the answer I'll tell you the answer, and if I don't I'll just respond cleverly." -- Donald Rumsfeld

Wow ... you guys are scary on that trivia thing!

Can anyone name a song about skydiving?

free falling?? :cloud9:

Let's see. For skydiving, how about:

Love Collision By John Waite
Live Like You Were Dying BY Tim McGraw
The Adventures of the Cow BY Adam Sandler featuring Frank Coraci, Randi Siegel

For Free Falling:

The Good Witch Of The North BY Everclear
Punk Song #2 BY Silverchair
2000 Seasons BY Reflection Eternal
The Tilt BY Shades Apart
roll up and shine BY Stereophonics
Hypnotic BY Holly Valance
Spinning in Circles BY Headroom

Still seeing who can name three songs with SCUBA diving in them. :-D :teeth:

Actually Mishelle, if you take a look at the question, I asked for a song that INDIRECTLY mentions Krispy Kreme doughnuts. All the songs you answsered directly mention Krispy Kremes...so sorry...no win on this one.

Anyone else wanna try?

I'll give a couple of hints.....

1. It's a well-known song. It doesn't matter what genre of music you normally listen to, you have most likely heard this song a number of times.

2. The reference to Krispy Kremes is not an official part of the lyrics themselves. You hear it in the song, whether played on the radio or listened to on the CD or album (actually, that's another hint...you could listen to this song on an album - so that should tell you something about how old the song is).

No one else may find this interesting...but now that I know it's there, it's kinda cool when I hear the song....

Any guesses?

It's extremely rare for me to know the answers to this type of question, but I'm puzzzled.

The reference to Krispy Kremes is not an official part of the lyrics themselves. You hear it in the song

This seems to be a contradiction. Can anyone explain what it means?

ooh...that does sound contradictory....

Let me clarify....

If you read the published lyrics to the song, nothing in the official lyrics mentions Krispy Kreme doughnuts. But if you listen to the song...you hear it. The reference was unintentional...but that was the version that ended up as the official recording of the song.

Hope that clarifies....

So the recording doesn't follow the written lyric and the difference was a mistake on the part of the recording artist(s)?

Yes, Amber,

I rarely know who sang what song or even the name of the song on the radio. If you mention the name of a recording artuist, I'm not likely to recognize it, unless they are extremely popular. I can't tell you the names of individual groups unless the group name is a combo of the indivual names. There are a few exceptions, but with me and popular music, it's fairly accurate. Smile away, darlin', you have me beat badly in this category. OTOH, I'll take Geography for 1000.

Exactly!!!

It occurs at the end of the song.....when the back up singers are just singing the chorus over and over again....

I'm the same as you when it comes to music, Walter. I usually don't know who's singing, what the title of the song is, and I usually am singing the wrong lyrics....

And you'd KILL me in geography! :wakawaka:
