So where is sheena?
Alas I was on a (previously arranged) assignment last night.... but I will drop by this evening after work (after 6). See if you can spot me in the garden bar. I'll call Kamala's room on arrival.

Today's highlight for the group appeared to be the camel riding at the great pyramids of Giza. All retired early as they leave at 5am for Luxor. What a great crowd. Wish I was following them.....

Where are all the glowing reports?? Pictures? How was the diving? What did you see? How was the current? How was the liveaboard? How was the food? Inquiring minds want to know. Somebody must have some info on this trip.
In Egypt everything happens "bocra" (tomorrow)....

Same here on being buried.... We were away for a long time and we were all thrown right back into work and our old lives upon return (except for those two hard-core folks off to Grenada).
ChinaCat: Fantastic trip, pics and more posts bocra?
Sheena: Great meeting up with you, by far the best meal we had on that part of the trip. Fun meandering slightly outside of our tourist cocoon.

The group on this trip was absolutely wonderful; we had a great time together! The crew on the boat and our tour guide also made our trip a fabulous experience. I am sure that the image of American’s has been forever changed in their mind by our group.
And as for the diving it was even better than the sight seeing, which was pretty hard to do. I had my 100th dive on the trip and I couldn’t have asked for a better or more memorable one. We saw a school of about 15-20 hammerheads and we also had a couple individual hammerheads that came in for a much closer visit and to top things off we saw a thresher shark! It was a truly awesome dive. One the surface after the dive we danced the “hammerhead” dance with the crew, taking turns with the towel that had been transformed into a hammerhead headdress. A perfect ending to the dive! Overall the diving was really wonderful, with beautiful coral, and everything from anenome fish to great barracuda's, lionfish to rays, and spanish dancers to stonefish. Every dive was amazing.
I could go on and on about the great times we had on this trip. It was a once in a lifetime experience, one filled with memories that the whole group had a hand in making-- I can honestly say that I hope I have the chance travel and dive again with everyone on the trip! I am so glad to have had the chance to get to know everyone!
