Grenada was the BOMB, (REALLY!!)

First off, I didn’t say anything down there, because I wasn’t sure, but after bringing the pictures, details, and dimensions to our UXO (Unexploded Ordinance) guys, it seems that I may have found an air to surface bomb. Dropped from a plane, it didn’t explode due to the rocks preventing the trigger from being tripped.

Below is a low resolution pic of the bomb. At a quick glance, it may seem to be a pressure tank, but at closer inspection, I noticed signs that it is most likely an explosive device.

Note, during the dive, I made sure no one went near it. (again, I didn’t tell anyone down there because I wasn’t sure.)

I’ll be contacting the dive shop there to let them know once we get a positive identification on the device.

Pretty cool huh? See, diving with Moose is, well, EXPLOSIVE! :birthday:

Well fins would often break off on impact with the water (some are actually made to break away easy to increase bomb penitration.)

It's about 3 feet long. I can't wait for the UXO team to let me know. I may be going back there to dive for WORK! Now how is that for a commute?! :birthday:

And for hammers, if I'm not diving in endangered waters, I do carry hammer and other tools sometimes.

That is cool. If you recover it, how do you plan to get it home? I don't know about Grenada, but, I'm pretty sure US airport security will have a problem with it. :birthday:

I would love to see the faces on the security guards when you try to send it through the scanner, or the flight attendant when you try to fit it into the overhead bin.

I would have thunk no one would have understood what you were saying u/w anyway...

Also, what do you do for a living that you might get to extract a bomb for work?? It sounds much cooler than my job... :lmao:
