I am planning on diving somehwere between Jupiter and Ft Lauderdale... can someone please suggest a stellar dive operation.. I am going down with a couple of friends... I have not dove down there in many years and have lost touch with who the operators are. I have dove with DCI in the past... I called them and they only have one boat on Friday and we want two Friday, Two Saturday maybe one Sunday and hopefully a night dive. If you can suggest a dive op I'd appreciate it.
Thanks
Ari

Thanks guys... I have a call into Underwater Explorers... since you both had them on your list. I have sent them an email asking them if they will allow us to lobster and if they have good lobstering areas they like... If so then I think that will be our boat!

Ari, Check out scuba-adventures.com They are in West Palm Beach and I believe an excellent choice. Consider this your complementary 2 tank dive. just ask for Capt. Zach
Hi Everyone,
Just to follow up. We dove with Underwater Explorers. DivZac I just now saw your response but I am planning on coming back down in a couple of weeks, so I will contact you about going out with you.
In the mean time... We went out with Underwater Explorers and I have nothing bad to say at all. The crew were fantastic and accomodating and everyone on each boat ride were repeat divers. Apparently Kevin used to work on another boat before deciding to start his own operation. It's a very nice size boat and he only takes 6 divers! You get the personal attention that you like to have on a boat. We dove 2 afternoon dives on Friday and two night dives Friday night... Then two trips on Saturday and 1 trip on Sunday. The weather co-operated until Sunday, where I thought we were going to get blown out, but Kevin said we should go check the inlet and see what it looked like. They were big rollers and it was rough, but everyone on the boat was OK so we pressed on and we are glad we did as we had the best visibility on those two dives than any other over the weekend.
Kevin (owner) and Alex (captain) were great... and safety was their #1 concern. Alex drove that boat so well that it was hard to believe it was as rough as it was... no one got sick... The dive master gets in the water on every dive!!! This is drift diving, and he offers everyone to go with him and he will maintain the flag, or he is happy to give you and your group your own flag, its up to you, but either way, he is in the water. If he puts out more than one group, he does go up a little early to make sure he is on deck to assist people into the boat.
The only bad thing about the boat is that there is no door ont he back of the boat so you have to climb over the beam. However, I jokingly mentioned that he should cut out the beam and put in a door or something and he told me that it was his plan to put in a Marlin door in September as well as a real toilet. Right now its just a chemical toilet and its not the easiest to use.
There's a great little restaraunt called the Two George's to eat at between dives, not the best food, but its good and reasonably priced, plus its close by. I had eaten there before as I have dove with DCI and Splashdown Diver before as well.
Anyhow, I'm glad we found this boat and recommend him to anyone that wants a good size boat with just a few divers.
I'll certainly try a couple of others that I haven't dove on before, but we were quite happy. I've been wanting to do Scuba Adventures so I'll be calling you!!
Thanks for your suggestions
P.S. 7 LOBSTERS CAUGHT (2 RETURNED BECAUSE THEY WERE SHORT, 1 HAD EGGS AND FOUR EATEN BY 1 HAPPY DIVER AND 1 LAND LOVER) NOTE: WHEN DIVING FOR LOBSTER, DON'T TAKE A VEGETARIAN DIVER WITH YOU, THEY MAY NOT TELL YOU IF THEY SEE LOBSTER <NUDGE NUDGE>
