im heading down to the coast for a month or so in a few weeks... anyone in that area got info on where to dive....

I don't know what's right around there, but I think it's about a 4 hour drive from me (Pensacola). Waveland was devasted in Hurricane Ivan and my church adopted a church there, my daughter went over there for a week to help with reconstruction, relief work, etc.
So if you have a weekend, you could drive over here. We have lots of great wrecks, including the Oriskany. If you're this far south, it would be worth the drive!

Are we talking about the "Gulf" coast? I'm guessing that by reading diverdeb's post. I figured that out all by myself!

still workin out all the details....work related deal... hope to go down and build a new house.... only about a 1/2 mile from the coast... the contractor says its right by the hollywood casino....not sure about a whole weekend but might get a few sundays off...

i was gonna come over there this weekend...maybe next week now.... talked to the scuba shack in pensacola about the oriskny... hope to set something up for the coming weekend... give me a ring if ya think it would work for you... todd... 616-886-2976im heading down to the coast for a month or so in a few weeks... anyone in that area got info on where to dive....
