Puerto Rico is a little known jewel in the Caribbean that offers some spectacular diving yet does not have the heavy diver traffic that many places have. With frequent flights...travel is easy and inexpensive. To reach the truly great sights of Rincon and others we'll do a shuttle van from the main airport or allow you to fly into the regional airport nearer to the pristine diving areas.

Our very own Scubatooth is doing a DAN internship and has been giving me lots of information and I am working on a reasonably priced trip in the $1000 to $1500 range including airfare.

Let us know your thoughts on this destination. -ww

Another dive destination I am interested in! This could be a really good price for anyone who can fly Spirit as they have great rates flying in to San Juan...........

I just had some friends come back from diving there and they loved it. I would be interested in this one as well. What time frame were you thinking?

I have been looking into San Juan to do a cruise. I haven't done one out of there in a while and with the stops could dive five different islands. Never looked into diving at Puerto Rico itself. No passport issues there for those that have those problems either.

My wife and I have been trying to get down there for several years now. I hear some of the resorts are really nice and the diving is better than most people realize.

I could be interested in a July / Aug trip. The price seems right and it sounds like it would be good for both of us. I could dump, I mean drop her off, at the resort while I go diving. :)

We are looking rates and seasons. We typically do our FG trip in July or August. We have Galapagos for June and we also typically do NC in July as well with Cooper River in August. Doing 2 trips a month is hard enough...adding a third is sucidal...I know...I did it once! :-D

Our goal is to offer a variety of trips WHEN you want to travel. The summer months are good for that but it is also when families travel. PR stays fairly warm all year so makes a good choice for those cooler months. :cool1:

WW how about changing the title to puerto rico instead of san juan as there really isnt any diving in san juan proper it all away from SJ either east or west.

airports you can fly in the SJU where there are more airlines that flyin, but there is also a airport in aquadilla (BQN) where Continental, Jet blue, and Spirit fly into

if anyone has any specific questions let me know and i will answer them. Im working with WW to help setup this trip. Then also im trying to get my photo gallery done and once i have it posted and ready to go live i will post the link.

Trust me the diving is amazing and the reefs are in very good shape.

Flying over night into Aquadilla from Boston and NYC on JetBlue in mid March '07 was a breeze. Shorts and flipflops the whole week. Great clear blue water diving in La Paguara. Only suggestion I have would be to split the week between La Paguara and Rincon. Needless to say "I'm All In". :D

I'd be interested. I'd have to know when and do some research on the area to truly commit. But it sounds good and the price is right for sure!

Cool...I was looking at that...just not sure of how hard it will be to 'move' people from one resort to the other...but the diving is certainly different and worth the effort to do the split!

You've done a big SD trip now...not sure this will be big but you know how group dynamics are.
