OK Gang -

I'm going to put together a post for a single tank twilight dive and HH out of Riviera Beach for while Blue Diver is in town.

So, before I do.... Blue Water.... since you have been scheduling your dive trip I thought I'd bounce it off of you first. Would you be interested and if so, what week day works for you while you're here?

Barb

Thanks Barb, I'm interested for sure and any week day Monday through Thursday (10/1 - 10/4). I don't have any set plans for diving after Sunday morning (9/30).

Ok, Bill. I've chatted with Zach and I'll be posting soon in the "Florida Dive of the Month" thread. But for your planning purposes AND for a heads up for those that have been following this thread...

We're going to plan on a Single Tank Twilight dive :welcome: with HH/dinner after on October 3rd with Jim Abernethy's Scuba Adventures (JASA) and Capt. Zach. :cheerleader:

Once I have all the details I'll post on the other thread. I'll also come back here and let you know that I have done it.

Looking forward to meeting you and seeing some of the other SD folks again!

Barb,

Are we still on for the twilight dive for next Wednesday? I will be flying out early Friday morning and won't have access to a computer. Is there a way we can contact each other?

"welcome to Florida".

I hope you enjoy your trip to Delray Beach. I would love to dive with you, but I live way over in Delray Beach.

Wait... someone just "whoop me upside the head" with a 2x4.

I'll dive with you !

Nothing deeper than 100', though.

Racer,

Are you still available for a weekday dive or few? Let me know and we can exchange phone numbers as I won't have good access to a computer after tomorrow night.

I just PM'd you to exchange phone numbers.

As of yesterday morning, I personally had to bail on the twilight dive. Work issues. Anyway.. I wrote to Zach and WW to see if they wanted to proceed with the posting and haven't heard back yet. Send me a number where you can be reached and I'll keep you posted.

I'm sorry I won't be able to make it,

I suspect that I'm not going to receive your PM since I'm a basic member. My email is pnw_diver@yahoo.com.

Understand the work conflict and appreciate you talking with Zach.

Here's what I'm seeing for the forecast:

Wednesday: southeast winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet. Northeast swell 2 to 4 feet. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Numerous showers and thunderstorms.
Wednesday Night: southeast winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet. Northeast swell 2 to 3 feet. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Still not the best for a night dive but better than the 13 feet Alan's site predicted.

What are you hearing, Zach? Do you have enough folks for this dive?

That's not "my" site... that is from the National Oceanic & Atmosperic Administration marine forecast for south east Florida.

http://www.srh.noaa.....php?pil=CWFMFL

Wind gusts in Delray Beach were up to 36 mph yesterday according to the tv channel I watched.

Not good for boating, however it certainly is preferable to a hurricane :cheerleader:

Those of us that live here are spoiled. We just wait for better weather and better visibility. Bill (Blue Diver) called me just after my last post..... he seemed to not be too bothered about the weather. The ocean will be calm enough soon... maybe Wednesday ! 2~3 feet seas on Thursday and Friday mornings. Let's be optimistic :cool1:

Thanks for all the replies and the efforts to put a dive and HH together. Despite getting blown out 3 days I managed to get in 10 dives. The water was warm, the viz pretty good, the life was awesome as usual and the pictures turned out pretty fair as well. Next time I'll plan to come down earlier in the season so the weather is more cooperative.
