All this talk about rum. Makes me wonder, since I have never bought alcohol out of the states, if and what I need to bring with me to prepare bringing back a bottle or two? I have to confess, I have never tasted rum.

Checked my secondary dive light for the fourth time to verify it works. This time it decides to totally give out on me. Too late to go and get one.

I am doing my last minute packing. Leaving the house very early tomorrow to catch the 6:30 a.m. plane. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

cheers.

You can buy rum or any alcohol for that matter when you leave the US heading to the Bahamas...up to 2 bottles. You can also buy 2 more when you leave the Bahamas and come back to the US. The boat will supply just about ALL your needs in that arena but if you have a special preference then you can bring your own.

No worries...I'm sure you'll taste the pleasures of RUM soon! :birthday:

p.s the boat will have extra lights...no need to fear!

Am leaving in a couple of hours for the airport. I will be waiting for Squid in the Freeport baggage claim area Saturday morning so keep an eye open for me. I should have a monstrous dull red and black Lowe Alpine mountaineering backpack with me.

Here is a picture so you can recognize me...
