As much diving as I've done, I don't remember every seeing an ugly lady diver. I'm into the natural look anyway, so anything more than a dab of makeup is overkill to me. Which works out nice, since after a dive, al the makeup is washed away.

This thread reminds me of one of the ad in some of the dive mags for a particular regulator. Shows a woman from above the shoulders in dive gear, mask, wet suit and holding the regulator. Her face has so much makeup on you'd need a spatula to get it off. I see this and all I can think of is, my god, she's gonna look like quite the mess if she actually dives like that. What marketing department thought that ad up I don't know.

I agree, the natural look is the way to go gals.

I don't think I would go so far as permanent make-up. I don't really know the procedure or what's involved. I like my make-up though. I wear it pretty much every day except when running or diving.

Most women look better with a bit. Everyone has their comfort level as to how much. So, I think once you know how good you could look (with makeup), it's hard to feel great with the "dawn of the dead" look. :thankyou:

I have considered the permanent make up route only as far as getting my eyelashes dyed, the rest I've not even considered after talking with a lady friend who took the classes and got certified in NY to do permanent makeup for ladies wanting it she also does Electrolsis treatments... but she said it's very hard to do the makeup part and basically it's a tatoo which is applied to do the eyeliners not sure on the rest...

Never been much of a makeup gal myself. Hardly evey use anything, and never even take any on dive trips except for some concealer. Of course, I also don't blow dry or style my hair, so I can be ready to be out the door faster than most men I know.

I've always wanted permanent makeup. I rarely wear makeup. Partly because at work (when I work) makeup is verboten, so I have been out of the habit. Full lips and eyebrows would be nice. I would like eyeliner, but I am paranoid about anything happening to my eyes. I'd probably get muscle spasms and get stabbed in the eye with the needle.

I know what you mean about no blow-drying. I'm a wash and wear kind of gal. It bugs me when a man spends more time getting ready than me.

To me there is nothing sexier than two people doing something they really enjoy together. Whether it's diving, skating, biking, hiking, etc; it's a way of connecting and being of the same mindset. That's incredibly sexy to me. So, go ahead ladies: sweat, get wet, get dirty. If there are men around, you will be highly admired!
