Looks like we may get some cash back because of all those hidden/bloated foreign transactions fees we have been paying on our credit cards. :diver:

Watch your mail... since it was not tied to an account, I thought it may be a scam. But it looks legit and they have a website up now too:

http://www.ccfsettlement.com/

Its a flat $25 refund or a percentage of your actual foreign spending on certain credit cards. Anyhow, maybe we will get a small check before next Xmas. :bye:

Got one too but haven't read it. They didn't ask for your Social Security number, did they?

This is legit. I had Tomoko check it out and the legal case is there and this is the website for it.

Any Dr Bill, no, you don't have to give any personal information, they already have it.

I got that too but haven't filled it out yet. I also got a refund from the government for the $60 that I paid for expedited passport service that was anything but expedited. Imagine. A refund from the government.

I'm curious also as to how they are going to divy up the money based on days out of the country. I put down 165 days... I went thru my passports to figure it out assuming it will be more than $25.

Well the people who ask for $25 will get $25, those who use option 3 and submitted the paperwork for their overseas purchases will get the right amount. Those of us who used option 2 and told them how many days we were out of the country will get whats left in the pot after lawyers fees and option 1 and 3 are paid. Probably total number of days divided by what's left.
Since divers usually pay before we leave and use our cards less overseas I figured option 2 was the best return.

Actually the lawyers will get paid first! Then the 25ers, then the paperworkers... then the rest of us... ummm... unfortunates. <g> :welcome:
