Hey everyone,

I've run into a bit of a problem finding new money here in the Denver area. All my bank had was $1. Anyone have any suggestions. If I exchange dollars in Singapore do I have the same issue?

Not sure you can get the currency you want but I would not sweat it. The rooms in Bali are $35 d/o and $70 s/o a night. If you just pay in dollars you'll pay a small fraction in exchange fees...less than a dollar by far so not worth the stress.

I will also bring a number of new hundreds and fiftys with me. Kamala

If we are arriving on the 6th aren't our rooms in Bali covered in the trip cost? I just trying to figure out how I can have any money to use in Bali if I can't find new bill here in Denver before I leave.....

You have to go inside the bank to get them... Ask the teller to look for clean crisp new "big-head" Benjamins. I could even get them when I lived in Little Rock, you should be able to get them in Denver.

Well after going to MANY banks today here's the scoop. Most of the NEW bills do not come out until the Holidays. Second they do not have a large supply of 'big heads' so you have to take what they do have that is new. And third...MANY of them are still 2003 series which they do not like. However I'm sure they have the counterfeit pins that they can and will check the bills with so it should be ok.

At least that is what I'm telling myself after going to Chase, Compass and Bank of America inside and having them sort thru LOTS of bills to find what I've been specifically asked to bring, what I need and bit extra if anyone else is in a bind.

The same here Kamala. I called several banks, when I called the main Wells Fargo, they are like sure we always have those, so he goes to check and all they had were $1. So I got the cleanest bills I could find and hopefully that will work. Learned another lesson, they can order them for you but it takes several day.

Wow. I have NEVER had a problem getting clean big-head Benjamins, and as I have said, even when I lived in Little Rock at my little bank there. I truly hope you all have a great trip!
