I am planning a trip to the Cook Islands at the end of June, specifically Rarotonga, for 5 days and am planning to be diving 4 of those days. I've heard that it's very pristine, viz always 60'+ and the water is 72 F at the lowest during winter (which is just starting when I go there) while air stays in the 70s. Sounds like an amazing location, very remote and not a ton of tourism, but is supposed to be an up and coming site. So has anyone been there or heard anything good or bad? I'm REALLY excited to go so would like to learn as much as I can in advance! Thanks all!

OK, GC tell us about your planned trip! It's coming up at the end of this month right?? Now you do know the Cook Islands were named after famed explorer James Cook who lost his life in a battle in Kealakekua Bay, Hawaii not far from where we dove with Edward!!
It's Winter time - you know you're a diver when you're scraping ice off your windshield INSIDE your vehicle...!
