Don't squirm at the thought of "horse treatments"! In ranch country, we used horse liniment all the time to sooth our own aches and pains.....works even better if you have a SO who can massage it in for you! :lmao:

Yup yup yup!! LLDN, don'tcha just looovve that special DMSO taste? Somewhere between tuna oil, black olive brine, and kerosene.... MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmm!!! :lmao:

I always thought of garlic as soon as it got on my hands. I had plenty of latex gloves for putting that stuff on I tell you!

Oh my gosh, how could I have forgotten the garlic overtones!?!?! You're so right!

Oh, just so y'all don't think we actually put DMSO into the mouth..... DMSO is an exceptionally effective transdermal agent. It penetrates skin and enters the bloodstream in a very short period of time, carrying with it whatever meds you mix the DMSO into. But it also gives you DMSO breath, which lingers for a couple hours, and is not dispelled artificially. In fact, it'll take all the pleasure out of whatever yummy food you eat to try to eliminate the DMSO taste..... So, when using the stuff for treating horse boo-boos, latex gloves are highly recommended! The poor horse just gets to live with the temporary effects on the tastebuds.....

Boo Hoo :birthday: brake and transmission failure. Luckily I had an Arabic speaking man around to assit with the non- English speaking Police. Just my luck- I drive 2500km around UAE and Oman without a scratch, and do this in my parking lot. any tips on helping with backache?

Shazam! :dancing: What a tough break (and for once, no pun intended). All will be made well in time, but I empathize with your intervening aches and inconveniences. Thank goodness you nor anyone else was more seriously hurt. I just wish I could offer more than condolences, but obviously we all are here for you as you have already learned from the outpouring of support and OTC remedies. :cheerleader:

Thanks for all the messages. I am using some locally available Indian pain relief rub stuff - full of Asian mumbo jumbo magic stuff - seems to be effective. Also seeing a chiropractor later today. May also go for the garlic tip too. Moving around defo helps so been doing some long overdue house cleaning this morning :angel2: . sitting at a keyboard doesn't help! I'll find out tomorrow what the verdict is on the car. I may be shopping for another in teh New Year. We'll see.

Festive Greetings and thanks to all,

Its 1995 since I bought my last car, so need some advice. I am looking for a city friendly SUV that I can also fill up with all my scuba gear with and drive 3 hours across the desert highways to Oman. Plus off road capability for desert camping trips during the winter. I have narrowed it down to Volvo X90, Nissan X-Terra, Toyota Prado (local favorite) and BMW x3. Anyone got any useful insights or advice? Reviews online seem to be limited and/or subjective.

Then again, maybe this suits me more.... ;)

Thoughts anyone?

GMC has a new Hybred SUV out. It gets good MPG. Go to their site and look at USV. Comes in 4 cylynder or V6. 3.0 engine.
