I am trying to get a days worth of diving in at the quarry this weekend in order to test out all of my new gear and fine tune my configs before I hit the ocean. Alas, I have no one to dive with. Is anyone going to be there I can tag along with or is anyone else interested in going? I can be flexible on the day.

Sounds good. Just looking to get the new gear wet and shake out any rust. If I can get one dive in I'll be happy, I have a season pass. Do you need help grabbing a table or setting up or anything? It's the least I could do.

The DUI dog days are this weekend, I've been feeling congested for over a week but so far this morning I'm feeling good so I'll probably be going up to try diving dry. Fairey Basslet will be up there too.

I should be OK with setup, I expect to be in LVDCs area down at the bottom of the hill, student side.

If it's not raining too hard I will probably go up Sunday. Hope to see some of you there.

Unfortunately I can’t go Saturday. I just got my new scooter, and I’m planning to spend most of the day standing in lines at the DMV to get my license and registration for it. WARNING: If I do make it Sunday, I’ll probably be in a bad mood.

Pir8,

What exactly does it take to get the solo cert? Or are you referring to a 1 on 1 class for another specialty?

This is the SDI SOLO Diver Class
You must have over 100 dives and be over 21 yoa for starters.
Then it is redundant systems, doubles or a pony.
Also get into calculating your own SAC. We do it for 3 different cases, Resting, Hard Work & Leisure activity
Shooting personal up lines and other neat stuff.
