I quit smoking at the beginning of the year, and I feel great ,I have no desire to start up again but now what are my chances of success of quitting after only a few months?
Gongratulations!!! Your chances of staying off butts are excellent. The physical monkey weaned its way off your back a couple months ago. Now you have to start playing the MENTAL game. For the next 18 months you will probably have a urge to grab a smoke due to stress, enviorment, peer pressure, whatever mental triggers you have. For me when I quite I tried to remove myself from that stressor. Have some hard candy in your pocket if you really need a oral fix. It will definatly get more easy. For me I knew I was over the hump when really hot chicks would light up and I thought to myself how unattactive she was.
Good Luck!!

Congratulations on giving up that foul weed. It can definitely be done as I am now over 10 years without putting those extra nails in my coffin. Most people that meet me now can't believe that I ever smoked.
You Smoked?!???

See what I mean.
Yes I did, not actually something I'm proud about doing but I am proud that I quit.
Probably the hardest thing I have done in my life.

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!! That's wonderful!!
How's this for a motivator - it's pretty much a deal breaker for me. VERY unattractive to see a man smoking a cigarette. So, the next time you think about smoking, think about how many women just checked you off their list as even a possibility.

You will have times when you will want a smoke, but do not give into the urge, it will pass.
I will hit 10 years smoke free in December this year. There were times when I felt like I needed one and I would think "how bad would 1 be", but because ealier in my life I had quit for over a year then gave in to the urge, soon after that I was smoking regular again. I knew that I just had to not give in to the urge.
Stay strong.

That is great news! And we'll keep you in our thoughts and that you remain strong. My mom quit many years ago and she has been smoke free for many years...but once in awhile she says she gets a craving. But like others have said...they only last about 15 minutes. So stay strong!
