I'll be going over a diving milestone while in Curacao - 300 dives for this year! Man, this year has been awesome!

TOTALLY FREAKING AWESOME!!! Yes what an amazing year indeed!!

And don't forget I am sitting on my 99th dive, so I will be hitting the 100 dives milestone on our first dive in Curacao!!!

Hi trip leaders:

3 1/2 days to depart now. Can someone post here how to find our hotel transfer once we get to Curacao airport? (My flight is AA from Miami, arriving 8:10 pm on Saturday).

Also, is anyone keeping track of how many people want to do shore dives in PM? I know someone will rent cars, but don't know if it is enough for all shore divers? I want to do some shore dives whenever there is nothing else scheduled, and I do not have a car. I heard you can get free pickup/delivery from some rental agencies. Anyone has any prior experience?

WOW!!! This trip is right around the corner! Usually they have a sign saying SingleDivers.com or Sunset Waters at the airport. I am awaiting verification.

As for shorediving I do not know how many people are interested in doing this. We'll try to get a quick count from everyone. Good questions! kamala

Bruce (ScubaShafer) and I will have a van for the week. We are planning on doing afternoon shore dives and have invited others could come with. Trinity has expressed an interest in going along on afternoon shore dives and Bubbles too, earlier on in the thread. Not sure about everyone else and not sure where the wreck class stands, so I'll let Bruce address that.

The van holds "upto 7 people" according to the rental website but realistically w/ dive gear it will probably hold 5 at most (I'm guessing). I can't make any promises but I think there will be room for you to join in, I don't think everyone will be on the same schedule every day.

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

For now, the afternoons schedule for me look at this:
Sunday PM: nothing. Can do shore dive
Monday PM: nothing. Can do shore dive
Tuesday PM: Watamula trip
Wed'day PM: Sunset Cruise. Skip shore dives.
Thursday PM: nothing. Can do shore dive
Friday PM: Too late.

In any event I think I can stay at the hotel and try to get some work done but at least I'll be able to make sure everyone is checked in ok.

Thanks for letting us know. Many people's flight's change but they only send us the info once. Or it could just be a typo since she is off by a day

I actually fly out tomorrow since I have to overnight in Newark to make connections. I'm excited - and I haven't even started packing yet. OMG! what a crazy two weeks I've had.

But, that's over and I'm going divng!!!!

Yes Kamala I was impressed, although, it made me smile while in Curacao to hear about you getting up at 4:30 am in the Carib to do some laptop time, setting up trips, I thought I was doing good at 8 15am to make breakfast with my Coke! I had a good time for my first trip with SD, dandy choice to partner me up with Bruce too, he helped push me towards the DSLR I now own, and have ALREADY flooded in Cozy, YIKES! nothing $3000 could'nt fix though, lol. I'll never forget John (BJ Mathpro) singing John Lennon tunes, dancing while John recorded that "show", and the traveling in the afternoon to check out local diving, then local brews. I look forward to another adventure! T
