I just stumbled across this story (Click here) about a bull shark being found in Lake Guntersville, Alabama. Click here to see a picture of the shark and click here to see a video of the teenager who found it. People around here are speculating it was dumped there as a hoax, what do y'all think?

Probably someone put it there as a joke but Bull sharks do go into fresh water to have their young. It just sounds like it wouldn't be easy for one to swim to that lake :wakawaka:

Is there any river linkage between the Lake and the sea? As mentioned, bull sharks easily tolerate freshwater, at least for short (days?) periods of time.

In one of the articles I read they mapped out a couple of possible fresh water routes. Via the highway I think Lake Guntersville is around 6 hours from the ocean.
