Who Are We?
Briefly we are a diving community that caters to Single Not Married and Married but Buddyless Scuba Divers. Basically anybody needing a dive buddy or wanting to travel with other solo travelers. So rather than being a 3rd or 5th wheel...our Divers are PRIMETIME!! Sure we have a few couples...sometimes one is a non-diving companion but most of our members do not bring a diving spouse with them although they are quite welcome. In fact we often offer discounts to couples when we have rooms that have only one bed in them. We call them 'sleep together' discounts since two people need to share a bed to qualify for them. And yes you need to bring your own 'partner to sleep with' rather than relying on finding one adhoc. As the founder of SingleDivers.com I am quite happily married but need a dive buddy most of the time. We have great sensitivity to our married but buddyless divers so work very hard to provide an environment that is 'wife approved'...even if its just me making sure you don't do anything your wife wouldn't approve of! 
And while we are NOT a dating site...our Hookups are to Tanks...chemistry may happen with our single not married divers. If it does it is not our fault and if it doesn't it is DEFINITELY NOT our fault! 
So in addition to our great group trips we ALSO enable our members to travel on their own or with friends for LESS MONEY than you can booking direct!!! So let us book your trip and we'll save you money and we'll keep volume on our contracts! It's a Win Win!
A Dive Club Only Better...
We have a community that is basically a huge dive club with nearly 8000 members from 35 different countries diving the worlds most amazing diving spots. Our members truly set us apart from typical groups and you'll make life long friends usually after just one trip. We offer 1-2 trips a month for all skill levels and for all budgets and preferences. While most of our diving is warm water...we spice it up with some cold water diving either in the Pacific NorthWest, the NorthEast or even the St Lawrence Seaway and we offer unusual diving like searching for prehistoric megalodon shark teeth and colonial era artifacts diving in the famous Cooper River or Wreck & Shark diving in the GraveYard of the Atlantic..NC.

Of course you can see which trips they sign up for and plan to join them on that trip or you can plan your own personal trip and receive discounts for letting SingleDivers.com book it for you. What are Single's Weeks?
We offer a number of Single's Weeks. So what are Single's Weeks? Well most of our single-not-married divers think they are our REAL single's trips so they often make one of them their first experiences with us. Actually they are simply a marketing term in the travel industry to indicate someone NOT traveling with a companion and therefore requires a single supplement to take advantage of a dive pkg. We run 2-5 singles weeks a year and usually take over an entire resort when we do so. They are loads of fun as are all our trips but they aren't just for single people...our married but buddyless divers join in as well. They are however characterized by contests and events and often have a fantastic price on them making them even more enticing and fun!
What is our Group Composition?
Most of our Divers are 30-70 years young and LOVE TO DIVE!! To help with perspective...our community averages about 70% single not married and 30% married but buddyless divers with myself being in the latter group. So pick your trip based upon where you want to go...and not whether you think the mix of divers will be...as they ALL usually have the same mix. And speaking of mixes...we average 40-50% women on most of our trips with a few notable exceptions. Wreck and artifact trips usually have more men than women and our exotic trips to Egypt, Wakatobi and other exotic places usually have more women than men. We guarantee a same gender roommate if you book in advance and we help to avoid single supplements by pairing you with a compatible roomie as well as a compatible dive buddy. We use an extensive survey to accomplish this that you fill out for each trip you go on with us.
How are our Trips Organized on the Site and How are they Run?
We have a dedicated forum for all the trips in a given year and all the trips that have already passed i.e. Trips You've Missed. We have them chronologically listed by month so for example all the March trips and events start with 03. Since we offer so many trips they usually flow over to the second page. You can reach the second page by looking at the bottom where you'll see 2, 3, 4 etc. These numbers represent a page and if you click on them you'll be taken to that page where you'll find more of our trips and events. We PIN the active trips and events and leave the discussions unpinned so that they fall under the active events.
Each SingleDivers.com trip is run by a seasoned group leader, usually myself. Large trips have several group leaders and on all trips we are there to help facilitate your questions and needs before the trip and certainly on the trip. We can't solve a problem if we don't know about it and conversely once we do...we do need some time to resolve it. Our group leaders bring a wealth of experience in running trips especially trips that cater to the needs of single and buddyless divers and you'll find this invaluable. Often problems are resolved without our members knowing there was an issue or even averted before they have a chance to happen. And they are a wealth of knowledge and a great resource to make your dive trip and vacation extra special. 
Also each trip will have a special forum that is dedicated to the members of that trip. We use it for detailed pre-trip notifications/activies and for post trip reveiws. You will be sent an pm and/or email with a link to the forum and how to access it.
How Can I Sign Up for a Trip?
Once a trip has been set we'll ask you to SAVE THE DATE. This means the trip is firm but we have not posted all the details and so it is not ready for sign ups yet. Once we have posted all the details on a trip including how to pay etc, you can then start registering and booking your trip with us. To do so first you'll need to register on the site as a member. Basic membership is free, you simply need to create a FUN screen name. Once you do you log into the site and you can now 'post' in the community. To sign up for a trip you first upgrade to premeir or above status and then simply post in the trip topic also known as a 'trip thread' and tell us you want to join the trip, if you'll be diving nitrox, how many days, what kind of room type etc. We even have a booking template for you that promts you to tell us what we need to know which you'll find in the 2nd/3rd post of the trip details. Once you have posted your intentions to join the trip and advised us that your payment is enroute, we will update the first post in the trip thread to show you are joining us. You then have a week to get us your deposit or payment via our secure Payment Gateway in order to keep your spot. Our trips almost always fill out and sometimes quickly so we must receive payment via our payment portal to secure your spot. Each trip will provide you with a payment schedule as well as how to pay, what is included and what is not, etc.
Why do you keep telling us to get Dive Insurance and Trip Insurance?
Dive Insurance is Mandatory for All SingleDivers.com Trips. If I have contacted you to send me your insurance number and expiration date, please do so ASAP to trips@singledivers.com!
Trip insurance is STRONGLY suggested...in turbulent times if you need to cancel or the weather delays you or flight troubles...the insurance will cover you.
DIVE Insurance such as Dive Assure or DAN etc is REQUIRED because as the trip leader I can not bear the emotional strain of watching one of our members suffer or even die in front of me because they do not have THOUSANDS of dollars of credit limit which can then be spent on treatments in other countries. Unlike the US which has to treat you to some extent regardless...in other countries...if you have no money you will get no services. And I do not have the money to pay for your treatments which is why I have DIVE INSURANCE from BOTH Dan and DiveAssure. Its cheap at the price and one or the other will pay for everything dive accident or illness related.
So PLEASE 
do yourself and your loved ones and friends a favor...and get your DIVE INSURANCE now and keep it current! In fact take a moment right now to ensure its renewed! This helps us when you do travel with us but it helps YOU when you don't!
Proper and FAST treatment of illness/injury on a dive trip is the SECRET to surviving and diving again!
Does SingleDivers.com Offer an Online Booking System?
No not yet but we are working on it. We process all payments via echeck or credit card online using this link in my signature or the trip thread/topic. And we do have you post online that you want to go and we post online that we have rec'd your payments and documents etc. You will also post online your question and we then answer them so everyone can benefit from the answers as well. However we are working on the ability for you to fully book your trip online including payments!
