Folks, forums all over the world have been inundated with fresh, tasty SPAM ever since the first of October.

DANGER! WARNING! IF YOU SEE A POST BY A NEWBIE, DON'T CLICK ON THEIR LINKS!!!

That goes for any links in a post, anything in a signature or anything in their profile. MOST of this junk I've seen elsewhere was just porn links, but I've seen several that were very bad browser hijacks. Even if your antivirus is up to date, you are in extreme danger with some of this new wave of forum spam.

It's nearly all being done be automated web 'bots, and some forums are getting over a hundred new forum spammers PER DAY. We've been blessed and only had one so far, and we're keeping a close eye on all of the newbies. However, we can't be monitoring 24/7, so you folks need to be careful with anyone that only has one or two posts, registered within the last day or less of when the post was made. Within at most a couple of days we'll catch anything that slips through, but you need to be cautious with ANY newbie post or profile.

This is a SERIOUS issue. We'll be updating the new user Registration process very soon to eliminate most of these 'bots, but we'll never get them all. Be watchful, wherever you are.
