Then there was a buddy of mine who acted somewhat funny underwater...gave the okay signal back when I started to worry...and told me later that it was all because she was sneezing!
So what kinds of peculiar behavior have you seen (careful... ) underwater?!

OK, surprises underwater.
I remember my very first ocean diving right after certification. I wasn't sure I was going to like this sport (after the horrible vis in Missouri doing my checkout dives, can you blame me?) so on my first trip I had not yet invested in my own gear. I was in Belize during rainy season and the seas were not being kind to me, so I was told to hang out at the safety stop, under the waves, until everybody else was on the boat. I'm hovering at 18 feet, and my rental gauge was telling me I had 400psi left, and all of a sudden I could not draw my next breath. SURPRISE! The gear was faulty, and I was OOA with everybody else already on the surface, and I had to remember my training and NOT just dash up to the surface. That was a long 18 feet!
Guess what I did as soon as I got home from that trip?

LOL! Now THAT creates quite a picture in the mind! Almost art...
Are you talking about something you've seen, heard of, or (gulp) personal experience?
OK, other more tame surprises... on one dive, my dive buddies suddenly were gaining my attention and pointing down to my legs, giving me weird hand signals I simply could not understand. I couldn't see anything, you know how the gear and mask can limit your ability to see parts of yourself.
So, one gal grabbed her underwater digital camera and snapped a picture near my crotch (uh oh, I thought the doc said that was all cleared up ).
She showed me the camera snapshot, and there was my upper left leg... with a two-foot remora hanging off of it! I had no clue! I guess he was just hitching a ride...
Later in the dive I think this same remora wanted to get friendly with the gals I was diving with. Hilarity ensued.

Yes we have been warned but this still does not answer the question but a quick google search reveals MORE than you want to see. Suffice it to say it is a form of expulsion that requires you to remove your wetsuit in order to facilitate. And apparently is only used when one can not wait to get back onto the boat to use proper facilities.
And yes...this would not be a surprise I would want to see underwater or anytime for that matter!

For the record, the victim of the WM misfire I referenced was not, I repeat, NOT, me.
And no, methinks me doth NOT protest too much.
