Christmas music???!
I'd rather have my ears implode at 200 feet than go through that stuff EVER EVER EVER again.
A lifetime of work listening to such stuff as Paul McCartney having A Wonderful Christmas Time--several times a day--have put me off of it forever.
There's a rumor that Christmas music was used on prisoners at Gitmo in order to extract information despite agreements on torture to the contrary.
The stuff's also fatal--have you ever noticed how many DEAD people sing these songs? Coincidence? Alien conspiracy? The Illuminati? --YOU decide....

Let's get away from sleigh bells, let's get away from snow
Let's make a break some Christmas, Dear, I know the place to go
How'd ya like to spend Christmas on Christmas Island?
How'd ya like to spend the holiday away across the sea?
How'd ya like to spend Christmas on Christmas Island?
How'd ya like to hang a stocking on a great big coconut tree?
How'd ya like to stay up late, like the islanders do?
Wait for Santa to sail in with your presents in a canoe.
If you ever spend Christmas on Christmas Island
You will never stray for everyday
Your Christmas dreams come true.
How'd ya like to stay up late like the islanders do?
Wait for Santa to sail in with your presents in a canoe
If you ever spend Christmas on Christmas Island
You will never stray, for everyday
Your Christmas dreams come true
On Christmas Island your dreams come true.

I've seen their Christmas concert, and it's fantastic, and I own all of their Christmas CD's.
KC has two radio stations that play Christmas music 24/7, from early November until New Year's. Overboard, IMHO, since they play pretty much the same music. I refuse to listen until the day after Thanksgiving! My boss tunes the store radio to one of the two Christmas stations on Black Friday, and I hear it whenever I leave my office.
I also have always liked the Christmas song done by Alvin and the Chipmunks........"We can hardly stand the wait! Please, Christmas, don't be late!"

My top five would be...
"The North Wind" (Listen to the link @ 4:12)
"Carol of the Birds"
"It's Christmas Time" by "Bucko and Champs"
"Everywhere It's Christmas" by "Bucko and Champs"
and the very sad "Santa Never Made It Into Darwin".
The latter was written after the Australian town of Darwin was flattened by Cyclone Tracy on Christmas Day, 1974.
Other fun ones include
"Six White Boomers" by Rolf Harris
"Aussie Jingle Bells" by "Bucko and Champs"
and
"Good Old Wally King" by "Bucko and Champs"
I'd be interested to hear what you northeners think!

I remember our first Christmas
We were young and so in love
Nothing to give but we had each other
Somehow it was more than enough
I remember how you held me
Said I'd never let you go
Now here we are another year another Christmas
And there's something you should know
This is my Christmas blessing
This is my Christmas prayer
No matter where the years may take us
Love will find us there
This is my Christmas promise
This is my gift to you
Forever we will be together
And God will see us through
And you'll have me and I'll have you
I know that Heaven sent you to me
I know that love's a gift from God
And I'm reminded every Christmas
The wonder of it all
This is my Christmas blessing
This is my Christmas prayer
No matter where the years may take us
Love will find us there
This is my Christmas promise
This is my gift to you
Forever we will be together
And God will see us through
And you'll have me and I'll have you
Christmas is a time for us to tell the ones we love
Just how much we love them
Because God first loved us
This is my Christmas blessing
This is my Christmas prayer
No matter where the years may take us
Love will find us there
This is my Christmas promise
This is my gift to you
Forever we will be together
And God will see us through
And you'll have me and I'll have you

I like Trans Siberian, but my favorite song is My Favorite Things by Lorrie Morgan. I get chill hills listening to her sing that song.
