Dumb question time:

Inside my watertight Cochran EMC-16 computer case is a small rectangle of peel and stick plastic. It looks transparent and the same size as the cover over the LCD display so I have to assume it is to protect that surface. However, I have never seen it used on any other Cocran I have ever handled nor can I can find anything to describe this in the docs. Is this what it is for or has it some other purpose?

It's a lens protector, designed to go over the rectangular lens to prevent scratches and other damage.

In fact, if anyone is curious, it looks like THIS.

Did you also get the Analyst software to upload your dives into your lap- or desk-top?

I did yes. I found the software a bit cumbersome so I don't use it much. Don't get me wrong, the info I can get off it is great, but the interface and the way it saves info is a bit klunky for me.

You will be relived to know that my lens is now protected. Thanks. :wakawaka:
