I hope they do a better job of presenting the "other" side of the story. I'm tired of shark attack, shark attack, shark attack. In the 48 years I've been diving (well, let's say just 40 since I was diving fresh water the first 8 years) I've only had one shark "attack" me and that was a small horn shark that got ticked off when I tried to reposition it for video. It swam up and tried to bite through my 7mm. I laughed so hard the regulator fell out of my mouth! I have had great whites swim within 30 ft of me (and neither of us were in a cage), but they were not interested.

I don't know Dr. Bill., I'm watching it when I can and am starting to worry! Shark attack! Cool Shark tribe guys though. Maybe we can call/rattle up some sharks for a dive. I guess I better not watch the shark after dark tomorrow or I may take my name off the night dive list in Cozy.
I do kinda look like a seal, and why are they using a YELLOW seal lure for the great white? MY fins/ snorkle wetsuit has YELLOW/black.

Remember, email is an inefficient communications forum. You may not read things the way it was intended. Give people the benefit of the doubt before firing back... Especially if it is ME...! ;)

OK OK I will hold your hand on the night dive. Please :cool2: I have also been diving over 30 years and I have never been attacked. I also don't ask to take pictures of them and they let me.

My dream is to see a great white and or a tiger shark (from a cage preferably). I also want to see the hammerheads at the Flower Gardens . I did get to see a whale shark there which was awesome, but I also want to see the great predators. I love sharks. Fascinating animals

Red beard, Well according to the show, Hawaii is a great place for great whites. I've dove there several times though and haven't seen one. Did see lots of white tip reef sharks and a gray shark.
The hammerheads are popular around San Carlos where I dive too.

Justscuba, you will have to hold my hand and Scubasis' s hand too.

I am with you Dr. Bill. When Shark Weeks first started there appeared to be more educational value less sensationalism. Now it appears to beyond the reverse. It seems all about shark attacks - like a full week of Jaws.
It's Winter time - you know you're a diver when you're scraping ice off your windshield INSIDE your vehicle...!

I can do that. I have two of them. lol

I dove with Hammerheads in La Paz about 35 of them with in arm reach and no problem. What time do they come in at San Carlos? I want to make a trip with you down there. When?
