If someone will confirm date/time/venue, I can shoot emails out to all the members in your region to let them know about the HH! Just has to be done in the next couple of days, since I leave for a diving trip next Saturday and I have packing to do!

Did not send one to you, since you knew about it! I only got about halfway through the list of members, though, in the little free time I had last week.

I didn't see anyone, but I didn't see a notice, so I didn't know if anyone commited to going.

Is this really the way that we need to do HH?

Typically, a HH is planned well in advance. We try to poll the region for a date/time that will work for the majority, then select a venue, and send out emails to everyone in the region with the invitation. Not every member logs onto SD.com regularly, so the emails are an important part of the equation in notifying our members of a planned event. There was simply not enough time given on this event to get emails sent out to everybody (those are sent one at a time, not blasted out to a long list of email addresses, so it's very time consuming!)

I would be happy to help someone in your area (you, Moose?) plan a HH, to be held in the next 30-45 days or so. This also gives us time to advertise the HH, and hopefully draw some new divers in your area into the SD.com environment!
