Had one fool me like that in Seattle waters once.

I was looking at a rock didn't notice anything there. Moved down the wall a bit only to have my dive buddy motion for me to return.
She had spotted a small Red Octo sitting right where I had been looking.
The only way she noticed it was because the octo breathed. She caught the quick movement.

These critters are masters of disguise.

This 5 minute video has the same octo as last scene but very interesting footage on the front end.

LMFAO!!!! :lmao:

I'm at work and cant watch the links till i get home tonight. I'm looking forward to it!

I FINALLY got a few shots of an octo in a cave in a blue hole last sunday. :D
The bugger was 4' accorss tip to tip, i hadn't known they got so large. Easy to spot since i thought the roof was comming in!!! :-D
My little 7.2 MP doesn't do it justice and by the time i'd "gone for back up" it'd vanished. :2cool:

I guess i'll just have to keep going back there! :teeth:

Is this pic gonna attach and display?........

That's exactly why I tell people that I know that I've seen one octopus while diving, but I have no idea how many saw me.
