Ok so winter is fast approaching most of us and some of us it has downright caught us...off guard that is. But despite how much I dislike winter....many people love cold weather and the whole winter scene.

So what is one thing you like about cold weather or winter? Now just list ONE so you can make another post later to share another one! :teeth:

I'll start....

I love colder weather cuz NO one complains when I make HOT SOUP! (Why they don't like it in the summer I'll never know but EVERYONE loves my soup in the fall/winter!) :teeth:

I'm going to cheat and put down 2

1) My pollen allergies go down to zero in the winter. No hayfever meds to deal with..

2) As an active snow rider, spending time in the mountains. My parents met in the same ski club back in NY and I grew up spending every weekend of every winter at a small ski area in Western NY. I have a season pass to five of the largest ski areas here in Colorado and spend every free day from November through mid April in the mountains. Its also the one time of year where my family comes to visit me rather than the other way around.

I like winter for putting on my jacket for the first time and finding money in the pocket from last year. $10 this year. :teeth:

LOL, I'm in LA, what can I possibly say about winter? Ummmm, it's 78 degrees instead of 88 degrees?

It does NOT make me wistful for my childhood in Chicago?

My dog does not know how to play fetch with a stick (and I've given up trying to teach her!) ... but she LOVES a game of chase the snowball, digging at the hole made in the snow where the snowball lands, it's a riot!

that picture was taken in Northern Onterio. 6 days of riding on the best snowmobile trails in the world. 850 miles highs -5F and we saw less then 10 other sleds all week on the trails. :flirt:

I love cold weather because it's as far from IRAQ weather as possible.

But now I'm going to Kabul Afghanistan, where it will be FREZZZINNG. maybe I'll hate that next year.

On the real good side, my dogs (always Huskies) LOVE the snow!

Also, when I go diving in 32 degreee water, there is almost NO ONE else to stir up the bottom!
