...Note to self, do not serve WW instant mashed potatoes... I wonder what her favorite "mix in" is for the potatoes...milk, cream, other??

Used to use cream in the day then whole milk and now I use 2% and they taste just fine! Maybe not as decadent but certainly a whole lot healthier which means I can have an extra spoonful!

Comical note...Bill's son who lives with us RAVED about my mashed potatoes. I thought this a bit strange as it was way over the top of normal complements. So I asked why he loved the potatoes so much and he said he didn't realize I could make mashed potatoes to which I replied 'their easy'. He then said wow if they are so easy how come you haven't made them before? I laughed and said they are fattening and the last time I checked NOT on your diet. (Bill's son has lost 45 pounds and working on another 40-50.)

Worst Thanksgiving Dish: Serving giblet gravy to anyone who didn't have to endure the Great Depression! Ruined T-day one year because us kids weren't aware dad has added icky eraser hard tidbits of giblets to the gravy for Grandma and we poured it on the stuffing, mashed potatoes, and turkey rendering everything inedible!

Nobody is sure what the ingredients in that nasty canned, jellied cranberry sauce are, but it makes good gaskets if you let it dry.
