I hope I'm not breaking the rules here, but since I'm offering up some business to someone in the diving community, I think I'm OK.

I have an OMS 300 bar manifold for steel tanks that needs to be rebuilt. It has a leak from one of the posts, but while I am at it, I would like to have the entire manifold rebuilt. While there are plenty of shops in my local area that can do the work, none are able to get through to OMS and/or get them to send the parts. I have been held up for five months and am pretty frustrated with OMS at this point for not anwering their phone and not getting back to me on the one time they did answer. I'm looking for a dive shop that already has the parts on hand and can do the work. I will pay for everything in advance. Please post your dive shop's contact info here. Thanks.

OMS is one of our corporate partners. I can assure you that we can help you. For starters I will move this to our OMS forum for better exposure and secondly I will get someone to reply to you. If the manifold can be repaired we'll get it done. kamala

Mark, OTWDiver just called OMS and can have the parts sent to him while you send him the manifold. He just needs to know what manifold you have and he will get the parts, clean and recondition your manifold. Please post here as he does not have email access right now and I'll get him your model number.

Thanks for the help. I appreciate it. For those that followed the "trim and roll issues" thread from last Summer...this is the manifold from my set of HP 120s. I got everything sorted out in the pool but then couldn't take it to the ocean because of the gas leak.

I'm afraid I gave up trying to buy from OMS a long time ago, and the same is true for other dive professionals here. Dealing with DiveRite is a joy, but OMS consistently failed to answer emails, and when at considerable expense and trouble I phoned them they person I always ended up speaking to seemed to know more about frozen peas than about dive equipment manufactured by OMS. A great shame, as OMS make some really good kit. I have one of their umbilical HID lamps that I completely failed to get new bulbs for. The lamp hasn't been used in at least three years. I had similar problems with Halcyon, though there it was more that they would only talk "DIR".

Maybe it's coincidence, but there is a great forget-the-day drug my dentist uses that has the brand-name "HALCYON"
