Right about now, our members in & around Chicago are probably wishing they lived someplace warmer. How about putting together a Happy Hour, so you can meet your local SD.com diving friends?

We have quite a few members who live in that general region. greg@ihpil has volunteered to help plan a Happy Hour in Chicago. I don't know how many other Chicago locals are currently active on the site, but I can certainly send out email invitations to all members. We have some in outlying areas that may attend if locals have a spare bed or couch for an overnighter.....

Let's find out who might be interested in a Chicagoland Happy Hour. Once the locals decide on a When & Where to have the event, I will send out the emails. We should probably pick a date sometime in JANUARY so we don't bump into family/holiday events. Making it around the Our World Underwater show in FEBRUARY seems to be a great suggestion.

So let's hear from you! Give us your 2psi on when & where you could meet.

Isn't there a dive show coming up in Chi-town mid Feb.?
Come on and wade way out into the water with me, we're drowning on dry land.

If we could meet during the weekend of The Our World Underwater show that would be good for me, I should splitting time between working at the dive shop and working at the show. I might be able to get some non SD'ers to join us and hopefully recruit to new members.

I should at least be there on Sunday, and most likely be working at the dive shop on Saturday. I don't have a booth # at this point. I work for Scuba Emporium, we are the hosts of this event, so you can ask at the front desk for Tim Doubek, or at our booth where I might be, somebody should know. I'll try to give more info when the show gets closer. Tim
