It's 2am+. Try to get to sleep. Take 1/2 Ambien. Try to wake early with local time and stay awake until some hours after sunset. Try to get some full face strong sunlight tomorrow to help reset your wake/sleep cycle. Lots of water no booze. good luck.

I drink lots of water to compensate for the dry, less-than-atmospheric-pressure air inside the cabin. Seriously, the conditions inside a plane's cabin can exacerbate, if not cause the thing we call "jet lag."

I agree. Besides drinking lots of water, I don't do anything special, and I've never been 'jet lagged' yet. (And boy do I travel)

I start adjusting my sleep schedule to match the destination by 1-2 hours forward or back per night for up to a week before I travel. On the long-haul flight, I will augment the (semi-)adjusted sleep schedule with drugs (Ambien, but occasionally other sleep aids) to force the issue. At my destination, I will enforce the desired schedule with drugs if necessary. Between this, and staying well-hydrated, I typically only suffer from a day or two of jetlag.
