Thanks tammy. For me, it was Fish Oil, Niacin, and lots (and lots) of fruit!

Congratulations Teresa!! :P I brought mine down from 280 :-D (long story, Adkins diet related) to 180 in about a year, mostly by dropping almost all red meat (now a once a week treat) and grinding though mountains of oatmeal one bowl at a time (a distinctly gruel-ing experience)....

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I just slaaaayyyyy me....

Incidentally, if I may say your results are also far more aesthetically pleasing. :cool2:

Kudos again!

I'll bet you can! :birthday:

I know about Flax. (I need to get back on it soon!)
What other good ideas do you have?

Ahem..... Niacin IS a drug. :birthday:

LOL, well if you want to count vitamins and/or herbs, then fine. You got me there. But they are alot cheaper and don't require prescription, unlike statins. Nor do they have undesirable side effects in the vast majority of cases.

There is a natural food statin, red yeast rice, that many folks in the nutritional arena believe is just as good as the prescription products in reducing cholesterol, and which does the job without the side effects of drugs. :birthday:
