Did you check Frontier,they may have a better price and I know there are direct flights on Frontier from KC to Denver.

Don't really blame you on the drive.....I'm pretty sure I wouldn't drive that far, that's what planes are for

I did a quick double check of the hotel amenities and YES there is an indoor heated pool. I've not seen it since my only experience with this hotel is a few work conferences held in the meeting areas, so she'll have to let us know how it rates.

Heidi, I will also be there for Friday and Saturday, I will finally get to meet you. Let me know if there is anything else that you need. I too have checked out the area earlier and there really isn't anything else out there. I will PM you with additional information.

Quick Update:

OK just verified that I have a room set up for Friday and Saturday and I do. Heidi aka uwfan will be staying with me and there is a strong chance a fly in guest who is trying to finalize plans may join as well. If she does it will probably only be for one day but that's better than none! So she will probably crash with me as well.

We need to work out any other lodging arrangements in case others need a room.

So let us know!

OK just verified that I have a room set up for Friday and Saturday and I do. VERY COOL SHOW UPDATE:


YEA!!! Guess what??? A member from the Sea Shepherd Show (of the famed Whale Wars) will be at the show! You can bet I'll be getting his autograph and picture! Whale Wars is now one of my favorite shows so I am very excited they will have one of the cast/crew at the show!!!

After working eight years for the Dutch police force specializing in organized environmental crime, Laurens, 28, realized there was an area of the world where no authority is upholding international conservation laws: our oceans. After little research, Laurens discovered the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society as the only organization willing to stand up against the evil powers committing the atrocities that destroy our Blue Planet.

With more then seventy percent of our oxygen coming from the oceans, healthy oceans are vital for life on Earth. Humanity has to do whatever it takes to protect the great waters. For Laurens “doing whatever it takes” meant giving up his job as a crime investigator, selling his belongings, and moving to Australia to join the Steve Irwin crew for the 2007/08 campaign: Operation Migaloo. The campaign saved over five hundred whales. But unfortunately whaling wasn't shut down forever.

Lauren returned for the 2008/09 campaign: Operation Musashi as the Japanese whalers returned to Antarctica to slaughter the gentle giants once more. The former crime investigator decided to rejoin the Sea Shepherd crew to help shut down one of the most barbaric crimes against life the world has ever seen: the slaughter of whales in a Whale Sanctuary.

In between campaigns, Laurens works as a freelance writer and sports instructor.

We normally do Friday but Saturday has some nice benefits and with most people/vendors flying home on Sunday we could have a great time on Sat.

I spoke with Pup and he will hang out with us....he mentioned Friday so let me check again with him. He even offered to play at the pub/club/place that we are doing the HH so we need to see if they will let him and he offered for FREE!

Sorry this is NOT a definite answer yet...I am at my husband's son's wedding so not able to lock all details in until tomorrow.

IS ANYONE PLANNING ON ATTENDING NOT ABLE TO DO FRIDAY OR SATURDAY? So far it seems everyone can do either day.

I will see if Pup can do either day as that may make the decision for us! Thanks everyone!

It's looks like there is lots of booth help. The traffic from my house to the hotel on Friday will be a major nightmare. Since there are several people already scheduled for Friday I will still try to be there but not sure of the timing. Rush hour traffic for 30+ miles is not really my idea for a great time.....

IMPORTANT SHOW/HAPPY HOUR UPDATE:

Ok I just spoke with Pup and he is available both Friday and Saturday so we'll do the Happy Hour Saturday to avoid the traffic issues for some of our members.

I hope that we are not excluding anyone who could not do it on Saturday but I did not see anyone post recently it would be a problem.

Secondly I really want to thank Heidi for helping to keep the first post updated with info on t-shirt sizes and when people can help!

And I want to thank everyone for helping at the show! The more the merrier!!!
