Back to Brett Favre-- The overwhelming majority of professional athletes want the team from their league to win, even when they lose in the playoffs. It makes them look better.
Or professional athletes could just say they want the team from their own league to win because that's the pc thing to say while secretly hoping the team that beat them gets a whooping.
The thread asked who we're rooting for, I'm rooting against New Orleans because they beat Brett and the Vikes. When there's poll on who professional athletes are rooting for, I'll let Brett speak for himself.

I'm not particlarly fond of the Saints, but I'm pulling for them to win the big one once. After all, it's been over 40 years.
The better question would be: Who is Archie Manning pulling for?

The GAME is the best part!
I'm rooting for the Saints - I figure since the Cowboys beat them when they were 13-0 and in the Superdome that if the Saints win it will be like the Cowboys win!
Looks tied to me - 5 for the Saints, 2 for the Colts = 7 for the game so tied with the 7 for the commercials
Not only do I like your reasoning, I like your math!
I thought it would be nice for NO to win their first SuperBowl.
For the commercials - geez, how much money did Denny's Pay to talk about how many eggs they will need. But I have to admit - the commercials are a big part of the game. Had I been able to vote twice - it would have been once for the Saints - once for the Commercials
