I arrive in Atlanta at 3:30pm! So I should be EARLY to the HH unless we stop at Frys or someplace else concrete that the metropolitan area of Salem, SC does not offer!

Fry's is a fun place, but it will be way out of your way from the airport to the Happy Hour. There is Micro Center near the D&B in Marietta - not nearly as large a selection as Fry's, but maybe worth a stop.

Thanks Brad!

Hello Dean, glad to have you aboard for the HH. :teeth:

You are correct, these HH events are casual affairs; sort of an impromptu evening out with friends. We meet and greet, enjoy the fellowship of fellow dive enthusiasts and discuss diving or any other topic that gens up interest. No dress code other than whatever may be limited by local or state ordinance. :D Each manages their own tab, though sometimes we get enough drinks into WW to spring or a group appetizer. :cloud9: Just teasing, Dear...

We're happy to help with any other questions and look forward to meeting you in a few weeks.

Well, rats. Just checked, and Southwest doesn't go to ATL. Delta has pricing around $260, though. Better consider before picking up Brad's gauntlet!

Southwest doesn't go to ATL.

That is true, but IIRC Southwest does fly into Birmingham. Maybe you can work out a deal with Bubbles . . .

Some early recon to the Marietta D&B has found a similar experience to the January HH - lots of people and slow service. I'm not married to the current location and am open to suggestions. What I do like about D&B is that we're not glued to tables & chairs and, to me, makes for a more social atmosphere.

What's everyone think? Shall we look for a new venue or stick with the Marietta D&B?
