I'm heading to Ambergris Caye May 23-28 for a medical CME/ CEU conference. Diving every day. The resort has spaces, and if you are a medical/ nursing type, you can even get credit hours and take ed trip tax credits. Ask Kamala about possible future trips as well. Anyone interested?

Wow, this looks like lots of fun, and a bit of work to justify the time away. Not my area of practice but I will have to keep looking. Let me know how something like this would work for a really new diver. Thanks.

Johanne. In general, these are 5 day conferences. Half day of lectures. Half day of diving. Typically 2 tanks if land based. 4-5 dives/ day if on a liveaboard, (with lectures and drinks at night). 20 credit hours total. The cost is the same as any trip, with an additional fee for those taking the lectures and getting the credit hours. It meets the US tax code for educational activities, so the entire trip cost is tax deductible. There are a number of organizations doing this. If enough interest, Single Divers could sponsor one.
Hope that helps.

Hi SS18. The meeting in Belize will cover anesthesiology and surgery topics. I'm going again in Nov on a liveaboard. When in April will you be in Vegas? Your travel schedule sounds like mine. I have Vegas, Nashville, Hilton Head, then Cozumel this month. How was Cebu? Thresher sharks?
