Well, now-upgraded-to-Hurricane Earl is just going to be a pain. I hope it either dissipates, or moves faster than they're projecting and further out in the Atlantic too! A lot of us are flying from or through the East Coast to get to PLS, and it's projected to hit around NC on Friday. :thankyou:

Let's keep an eye on this one, and keep good thoughts both for our trip AND for any of our members who may live in the path.

Everybody please make sure you take WW's and my cell numbers with you when you leave home, so you can keep us posted of any travel issues. WW's is in her signature line, and mine is in the Special Discussion thread (in the Getting Started thread).

DON'T FORGET!!

Don't forget to copy these items and put them into a sealed envelope with your Real Name and Screen Name printed on the front of it. Give the envelope to WW or me on Saturday when we board the boat. The envelope will only be opened in case you have an emergency situation and cannot speak for yourself. It will be returned to you unopened at the end of the trip if it's not needed. Save it for your next SD.com trip!

Hey U Guys are packing for T & C and I'm packing for PR. I CLOSELY INSPECT all my dive gear before packing and discovered a hidden perforation on my mask strap right at the buckle on frame,
just waiting to engage Murphy's Law at 100' ( NOT ). Buying a new strap Monday and updating my "save a dive kit".

A really good reminder to everyone to ck their gear before they leave. I am sure is someone breaks a strap, the rest of us can come up with a spare. :wakawaka:
I was looking around the web for information the Earl. Looks like Fri travel may have some delays/challanges with thunderstorms. Can we say E ticket? (for those of you too young to know what a E ticket is, I will explain on the trip). Anyway I found this live web cam at a golf course. So ck it out. It is a little slow right now, probably because of Earl and it is night but I will be fun to look at it over the next few days to fuel our excitement.
Less than a week to go. :(

I'm no longer worried about Hurricane Earl....see the following link for the projected path and timeline:

http://www.weather.c...-swa_2010-08-25

Earl will be stirring up the waters around T&C tomorrow, but hopefully by Sunday things will have settled and visibility will be better than decent.

If you're traveling out of the NE on Friday, you may have some weather to deal with though!

Tropical Storm Fiona was just named, and is about 900 miles east of the Antilles. She is not projected to become a big storm however.

Out of Bean Town Friday nite, I'll be ready for another " E" Ticket ride, been on a couple to carib in summertime. A snug seatbelt the entire trip.

The form resides in the same forum as the SD Survey and SD Waiver. That forum DOES require a password. Christine, I will PM it to you so you have it for future reference.

If you're traveling out of the NE on Friday, you may have some weather to deal with though!

It looks like those who fly through New York on Saturday will be missing Earl by a hair:
http://www.weather.c...10-08-30?page=3

I expect the airport to be a zoo though.
