Anyone up for a trip to the IMAX to see OCEANS (or any other excuse to get a few of us together)?
I would run in for a weekend show - this Fri and Sat evenings are a bit tight what between a date on Fri and my son's prom on Sat... but next weekend or this coming Sun would work.

This weekend is busy, but I'm up for next weekend sometime. Cass aka Hammered Head will be diving in Florida though (I'm dog-sitting for her). I can try to send out an email to other local members if we get a firm plan together.

Whoo Hooo! Two SD.com Happy Hours within a 48 hour period....in two different states!

Tray aka scrappykidz stopped by my suburb in Kansas City this afternoon on his way home from his AOW checkout dives (done at Beaver Lake in northern Arkansas), and we hooked up for an early dinner and drinks at my local watering hole.

Tray, it was great catching up with you! Don't know if I'll every head to Manhattan, KS for any purpose, but I'll look you up if I do. If one of us hits our retirement goal (Costa Rica or Bonaire), we'll just move our HH!

Meanwhile, we'll have to organize something more formal next time, and give some advanced notice to others so they can attend too.

Hawk, what were you saying about the KC Wizards vs. Manchester United? When is that?

Hey gang!

While I know that some of my Kansas City pals would be happy to fly to Denver to see a show (love ya' Miss Tammy!), I would actually prefer to come out that way and do a show somewhere in your area. I have quite a few other friends in Missouri that have been asking us to travel that way too, so if you all can help me find a club that's a good fit for us, I would be glad to see about booking a show there and combining it with an HH if possible.

Keep in mind that my show consists of basically country music and trop-rock (Jimmy Buffett style) tunes, but they are ALL original. We are not a cover band in any way, shape or form. I've got fast ones, slow ones, waltzes, cha-cha's, you name it... and it's all very danceable, but it is original music, just as every other song was original when it first came out. I've got lots of promotional materials and references to send to the club owners, but it is important they understand what they are getting. Most clubs welcome something new and different, especially from out of town, but I am just not familiar with all of the clubs/venues that are in the KC area, so if anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to let me know!

In the meantime, keep lettin' your heart shine all the way to the outside and share it with the world!

Hmmmmm I do have a venue I can use (in downtown Omaha), and I haven't produced a show in years. Must think on this......Maybe time for the Scuba Cowboy and the Hawaiian Punk cowboy to team up again.

Heck yes, I can definitely make an Omaha gig! If you set it up right, I can even bring the whole band that way for a weekend, as it's within reasonable driving distance for me. Give me a call bud, especially if you are looking to promote shows, as I would gladly pay a booking commission for these kind of gigs.

And of course Miss Tammy, I can't wait to see you again... you are always soooo supportive, I sure appreciate you!

I'm heading to KC Tomorrow (Sunday July 25) to watch the KC Wizards play Manchester United and now have 1 extra ticket. If there are any soccer fans in the area, I don't want it to go to waste. Game starts a 5pm.
